AQUA METAL Water-Based : Metal Primer

A. New Painting:
All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, dirt, chalk, laitance, efflorescence, rust, grease, oil, and all other foreign materials. Wipe off oil and grease with solvent or lacquer thinner. Remove rust, mill scale, and stains with sandpaper, wirebrush, or other abrading methods.
Treat iron surfaces with heavy coating of rust and scale with DAVIES 200-X Rust Converter, wipe off residue and clean with lacquer thinner. Apply the appropriate metal primer immediately after cleaning and drying to avoid the onset of corrosion. 

B. Repainting: 
If the existing paint is sound and shows slight chalking, sand lightly and wipe off dust. Remove cracked, peeling off old paint by scraping, wire brushing, or sanding. Use DAVIES 300-X Strip-eze Paint Remover to aid in scraping off old paint.
Treat heavily corroded surfaces with DAVIES 200-X Rust Converter, wipe off residue and clean with lacquer thinner. Apply the appropriate metal primer immediately after cleaning and drying to avoid the onset of corrosion.
