Megacryl® MCS™ Semi Gloss 100% Acrylic Premium Latex Paint (Reds & Pinks)

DAVIES® MEGACRYL® MCS™ is a premium 100% acrylic semi-gloss, water-based interior and exterior paint. It is easy to apply, high hiding, and provides surfaces with a smooth and even finish. It is highly durable and resists dirt, stains, alkali, water, humidity, algae, mold and mildew growth.

Recommended for:

• Masonry - concrete, hollow blocks, bricks
• Drywall - gypsum board, acoustic board, plaster board
• Properly primed wood and metal surfaces

APPLICATION DATA

SURFACE PREPARATION

A. New Concrete:

1. New concrete and cement plastered surfaces must be thoroughly cured for 28 days before painting, having a moisture content of less than 15% and a pH level below 9.
2. Remove concrete laitance and other impurities.
3. Thoroughly clean the surface and ensure that it is dry, free from oil, grease, loose materials and other possible contaminants. 

B. Previously Painted Concrete:

1. Thoroughly clean the surface and ensure that it is dry, free from oil grease, loose materials and other possible contaminants.
2. If the surface is powdery and chalky, scrub and clean with water before applying one coat of DAVIES® Liquid Tile® Penetrating Sealer DV 5-530.
3. For mildew and molds, treat with 1 part liquid bleach and 3 parts water solution. Rinse with water and allow the surface to dry before painting.

C. Metal Surfaces

STORAGE AND HANDLING

• Keep the container closed when not in use.
• Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated space.
• Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage.
• In case of spillage, absorb with inert materials such as sand.
